Connect nominated for LAMA Award

The Local Authority’s Member’s Association (LAMA) are pleased to announce the release of the shortlist for their upcoming awards. The awards aim to reward initiatives and private companies for outstanding contributions and projects of benefit to the community.

Each of the finalists was nominated by their local LAMA representative as the best in their county and then the nominees’ entries judged by an independent panel of experts.

The awards, which last year were attended by over 800 of Ireland’s key Local government executives and communities business leaders, are receiving an even more impressive welcome and interest this year.

The gala Awards ceremony to announce the winner will be held on Saturday 19th January in the Citywest Hotel, hosted by RTE presenter – Sharon Ni Bheolain and attended Mr John Gormley, T.D., the Minister for the Environment, Heritage and Local Government.

The Local Authority Members’ Association represents elected councillors nationwide. They play a pivotal role in local government, being charged with representing their constituents in local issues, providing leadership within the community and being responsible for the provision of local services.
